Becoming...More of Who You Are

Updated: Jun 30

The idea of "unbecoming" is hard for me to grasp, even today as I'm in the years approaching retirement. It's more about unveiling, accepting, and fully loving who I am and what I offer. Those personas or masks I acquired along the way kept me hidden, safe, and feeling like I belonged. The truth was, I wasn't being me, and I didn't see the value of the gifts I have and could share. Each hour, day, and minute, I am "becoming" more confident in who I am at my core. I'm on this earth to help people grow into what they are here to do in the first place. It's about shedding what doesn't align and creating the life we want and need to live. It has become clear that it's about experiencing a full life, staying curious, keeping what serves, and adding it to my base toolkit. I don't need to be someone else; I need to be 100% more of who I am. That's what this quote means to me. You don't need to gain acceptance through accomplishments or derive your value from your productivity. If you can figure out who you are at your core, why you're here, and put your energy into that, you've come full circle and become who you always were. And that is every bit enough and what the world needs you to be.
